A Thanksgiving in Iowa

December 2, 2010

We had a great Thanksgiving with Tim and Lonita (and Joshua!) in Iowa this year. Here are the pictures to prove it!

Trying to make friends with Joshua

What a cute kid!

We toured the Iowa State Capitol on Saturday. This is their law library.

The. Coolest. Library. Ever.

Self Portrait

We climbed up all these stairs to go into the rotunda. It made some of us very queasy.

Michael, like a king on the Grand Staircase

Trying to get into the time-delayed picture. Not quite fast enough! But it looks cool.

Michael and I explored a little of Des Moines on our own and found this Asian Garden.

I was born in the year of the Dragon, strong and powerful! And also wise.

Dragons!

We stopped at a visitor's center on the Iowa side of the Mississippi on the way home.

Loved living in Iowa. Miss it terribly. Favorite place even after living in New York and London: Iowa City.

We had a great time having you guys here! You definitely got some great pics of the Capitol – sometime I’ll have to make it back to check things out without a crazed 2-year-old running around…

Looks like you guys had fun and it wasn’t too cold. I love the Iowa capital. I had forgotten how beautiful the law library is.

    That is an amazing library!
I just want you to know that I enjoy reading (and seeing) about your adventures in Iowa.
Glad you are enjoying grad school. And married life.
